When Vicki auditioned to play Elphaba for the national tour of Broadway's "Wicked," it was pretty clear from the moment she opened her mouth that she had the talent in spades. For musical director Dom, it took him a little longer to realize that she was also the perfect fit for the role of his girlfriend, fiance, and eventually, his wife. But before too long, he was completely under her spell. (OK, I promise, no more attempts at Oz puns or we'll never get to the photos.)
The two were married at the Sanderling Resort in Duck, on the North Carolina Outer Banks surrounded by their closest friends and family. Threatening skies pushed the reception into the pavilion at Sanderling, but thanks to the hard work of Debbie and the rest of her staff, you never would have guessed that things were taking the plan B route.
Their vows included "I do's" written for each other, leading to one of the funniest ceremonies I've ever witness. I don't think anyone would have blamed Vicki if she'd chosen to walk away after being faced with promising not to be angry that Dom had watched the season finale of Game of Thrones without her. For me, that might have been a deal breaker. But laughter was very much one of the key elements to the day. Vicki is a stunningly beautiful woman, made an even more beautiful bride by her tendency to throw back her head and laugh with complete abandon. And Dom is the perfect guy to keep her laughing for the rest of their lives together.
Congratulations again, you guys. Enjoy the abundance of photos here while your gallery uploads!
