Rogers Photography is a full-service photography studio located in Lynchburg, Virginia, shooting events across the commonwealth and North Carolina as well as destination events. Having spent my time in the trenches as a commercial photographer and working in news, I believe a photo should convey both timelessness and a modern edge. My style of photography aims to tell a story, communicating the joy and beauty of life and the magic of everyday life. With a background in fine art, commercial design and journalism, I know how to bring the technical elements of photography in line with artistic vision, while being an unobtrusive witness to your special day. Based in Central Virginia, I provide photography services for all aspects of life including: Weddings Engagements & couples (“E-sessions”) Family child & newborn Senior & school Corporate & professional headshots Fashion, acting & pageant Boudoir Events & locations Product & commercial I personally photograph every wedding/assignment and edit all photographs myself to ensure the highest quality results. A trained graphic designer, I also lay out all albums myself to best set off your photos and tell the story of the day. Additionally, I also make ordering prints of all sizes, canvases and albums easy and affordable, offering quality products and personal attention without the heavy price markup typically associated with wedding photography. My work has been described as warm and dream-like and has been praised for both its artistic vision and technical skill. I will happily travel to most places within Virginia and North Carolina without additional charge. Though based in Lynchburg, I have travel hubs in Wytheville, Va., and Asheville, N.C., and frequently shoot in all three areas. Looking for something a bit further afield? I am also available for destination events. Shoot me an e-mail and we can talk! Locations that I cover or will soon be traveling to for photography include: (in Virginia) Lynchburg, Forest, Charlottesville, Danville, Appomattox, Richmond, Midlothian, Farmville, Staunton, Lexington, Roanoke, Blacksburg, Radford, Dublin, Christiansburg, Wytheville, Bland, Pulaski, Richmond, Bristol, Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax and the Washington, D.C. area; (in North Carolina) Asheville, Waynesville, Maggie Valley, along the Blue Ridge Parkway, Weaverville, Black Mountain, Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Apex, Wilmington, Cullowhee, Boone, Charlotte and Matthews; (in Georgia) Savannah, Atlanta; Europe. Don’t see your town on the list? Contact me to discuss your destination wedding anywhere in the world! About Lauren After graduating with a triple concentration in painting, photography and 3-D design from the University of North Carolina — Chapel Hill, I pursued a career in commercial graphic design and photography for an advertising agency in the Triangle. This eventually led me back to one of my first loves, journalism, and bought me to beautiful Central Virginia. Off the clock, I love ballroom dancing, enjoy painting, cooking and thrift-store shopping. I love to read, especially classics and (nerd alert) Harry Potter. My biggest inspirations for my work are the painters John William Waterhouse and Gustav Klimt. I can’t live without my Mac for editing, my boyfriend for cuddling, and hats. I really like hats. They turned out so much better than I ever expected. You really did a phenomenal job! Thank you so much! Tyler was soooooo excited about how you edited in the airplane. It meant so much to him! Great idea. We appreciate everything. I wasn’t sure if I wanted engagement pictures but I am so glad I got them. We were lucky to have found you.” – Ann “My family and I just want you to know how much we enjoyed working with you. It is obvious to anyone watching that you truly love your work. We couldn’t be any happier with the photos you shot at the wedding. They are all so beautiful, I don’t have enough wall space in my home to display all the ones I want to frame! You have truly made this wedding a beautiful memory for us. Years from now we will still have the ability to be right back there in the moment thanks to your exceptional photographs.” – Lisa
